Maser emission traces a heat-wave of accretion energy emanating from a rare high-mass protostellar accretion event. Contours show the first moment (intensity) while colour indicates the second moment (velocity) of the emission with respect to the systematic velocity of the high-mass protostar progenitor, G358-MM1. Data were obtained using imaging with the very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) technique.
