The correlated radio-optical variations in blazars
Blazars exhibit strong variability at all wavelength of the whole electronmagnetic spectrum. Verifying the existence of correlations among the flux variations in different energy bands serves as an important tool to investigate the emission processes. In this work, 75 blazars, including 37 FSRQs and 34 BL Lacs, have been collected. The correlation analysis between radio and optical bands has been performed by means of DCF method. The result shows that there are correlations between radio and optical variations in a large fermi blazars. The variations in optical band leads those in radio bands from 10 d to 500 d. Jet in shock model can be used to explain these results.
