Faraday Rotation in the Jet of M87
The magnitude of Faraday rotation measures (RMs) in the jet of a nearby radio galaxy M87. RMs systematically increase with decreasing distance, which indicates that the jet is in the environment of stronger magnetic fields near the jet base.
